Canada, the Second Day

Sunday, May 17, 2009

This was supposed to be posted yesterday but I was too tired from all the walking. I'd forgotten how tiring it was to have planned vacations, as in, vacations equipped with itinerary. Second day of vacation and I'm already tired out of my mind. At least the food's good. And I've got plenty of opportunities to take pictures. 001 was the first thing I saw after I woke up around 7:00 a.m. (Canadian time). A light breakfast, 002, which I enjoyed (003 and 004), followed by a brisk walk around Victoria.

I was tempted to ride a Kabuki cab, 005, but in a party of eight, I doubt I'd be comfortable. I did manage to walk around Victoria's Chinatown. The alleys were narrow (not unlike San Francisco Chinatown) and I looked up and saw 006. How exactly did that happen? No idea, but it looks like its come alive! I happened on a bubble tea place and ordered the Man Nut, a.k.a., Mango-Coconut. I tried keeping evidence of this by takening a picture, 007, but it came out pretty blurry.

008 to 019 are pictures for Butchart Gardens. I've never been in such amazing gardens before. If I could just put a slice of it in my backyard, then I'd probably be more of an outdoors kind of person. In any case, sore feet was well worth the sight.
