Canada, the Fifth Day
Friday, May 22, 2009An expensive, expensive breakfast in Seattle, followed by a tour through land and sea (Tour Ride called 'Ride with the Ducks') around the city. I think it was the best way to end my vacation.
001 through 008 were in the Space Needle Sky City Restaurant. The rotating wasn't distracting but the price of everything...geeezzeee. At least it was delicious. And I ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri that was sort of, kind of, d i v i n e. Heading up the twenty feet to the observation deck was anti-climactic because I'd seen everything from inside the restaurant already.
009 was what took us around Seattle. Ready to drive on the roads and then driving straight into Lake Union (as can be seen from 019 to 022). I took a lot of pictures from that ride, maybe too much, so it seemed a moot point to post them all here. We rounded off our return trip to the hotel by stopping by at the nearby Chinatown district. It was nice walking around that district, almost like being back in Houston. Cue the violins.
I think I'll need to wake up around 6 a.m. tomorrow to catch our flight. Accounting for check-in, security, and possible delays, I should be back in Houston around 5 or 6 p.m. I doubt I'll get anything done when I get back, besides laundry anyway, but it'll be nice sleeping in my own bed. Several things are already planned for the days that I'm at Houston:
- Haircut on Monday? If it's not closed...
- Car maintenance Tuesday = drop car off
- Car pick up Wednesday afternoon
- Dentist Appointment Thursday morning
- Possible hangout Thursday afternoon?
- Friday = LEAVING FOR UNI!
