It's not a long list, I know, but I'm trying to complete it, not trying to set myself up to look forlornly on unfinished business. There are plenty of things on here I could knock out in one day. A couple of these might not be possible within the time I've given myself. Regardless of those reasons, I still want to give this a shot. Adding some things that I have accomplished (would love to do them again!) makes this list look a little easier to finish. I'm looking forward to writing about finishing up more of these bullets in the coming months.

Right now, I can hear fireworks outside my window. Despite the fact that this is illegal in this area, I'm comforted by this familiar sound. Fireworks bring a lot of memories to mind; I've spent Independence day alone in my apartment, in someone else's apartment awkwardly navigating conversations on Discovery's Deadliest Catch, and making these mega-sized pesto chicken shells with Ben. I hope the next time I'm celebrating this holiday, I'll be meeting up with friends after spending the majority of the day studying. As ordinary as that may sound to everyone else, to me it sounds like freedom.
