The End of Undergrad

The last final was Death and Dying. It was enjoyable, despite the small hand cramp from all the writing. When I was walking back to my car, a golf cart passed me and I felt the driver look at me. When I turned to see who it was, I heard David call out. He offered a ride to me (even though it only took 6 steps up to the steps of the parking garage stairs) and I took it. I had just finished my finals! And fortune of all fortunes, I get the opportunity to ride the golf carts I see around campus :)

I was talking to Ben walking back, telling him of my good fortune. I had no idea that he had made certain plans while I was unaware. Earlier that day, between my two finals, he had requested a reservation of my time. He said that it would be an all-day event. I took that to mean all-day Minecraft with a side helping of interesting conversation. When I got back to my apartment, I was ready to cut the call short because I planned on taking a shower. It was really confusing hearing Ben insist that now wouldn't be a good time.

I may admit to my own gullible charm (haha) but I didn't suspect a thing when he told me to go check the mailbox outside for a surprise. I mistook that to mean that he sent another letter so I sort of charged towards that mailbox without really looking around. I was horribly disappointed to find junk mail! I looked up from the mailbox and what did I see...

BEN! Standing behind the mailbox, waiting to surprise me. Ecstatic was putting it mildly. I think the last day of undergrad finals couldn't have ended better. I get to enjoy this final weekend with Ben before graduation. Even though he's leaving early Sunday, I'm thankful for the time we spent together. Once he leaves, I need to kidnap Connie to work on a certain fluffy thing! Somewhere in there, I also need to pack for our Austin road trip on Monday.

Many plans! Many smiles! This semester is coming to a close on a great note! :)
