Greetings, New Mexico! (Q'd)

My third interview is in New Mexico! Also my first time in this state. I was unprepared for the time change—it's mountain range time zone—but the hour difference didn't matter at all. I had seen Breaking Bad but was really unprepared to see the huge mountain dominating the background. It's convenient that I can figure out where I am just based on the mountains position. I didn't see any hot air balloons in the sky but I suppose that was a little silly to expect... but what can I say, I felt like a tourist!

I had to stay two nights for this interview because it was an all day affair (8-5). It was an excellent opportunity to check out some of the well-known eateries like Sadie's and Flying Star Cafe. I had dinner with some applicants who weren't flying till the next day like me. Fun fact: the majority of the interviewees were out-of-state like me! Who would've thought? I got to hear about the 'State Question' which asks about whether you want red or green chile. Both chiles are physically red in color but I believe the 'green' one is milder. And delicious! I can personally attest to that.

If you want to sound like a local, you can say 'I'll have Christmas on the side' so you can sample both chiles. I've been purchasing souvenirs from the airports on my way back home and I snagged two interesting pieces:

I won't hear back until September but I really enjoyed my time there!
