All Good Dreamers Pass This Way
Friday, June 14, 2013Feeling chipper because I got confirmation that the Ft. Worth school received my application. They're probably reviewing my supplementary by now! I am officially freaking out! What if they just cast me aside? I don't want to think about it any longer so I have to quickly verbal vomit all of this here. Please take me! I am ready! Believe in me! Give me a chance! I want to move into my own place!

Anyway, the theme of this summer is 'distraction'. I have a bevy of social media sites that have done a superb job of keeping me occupied. Pinterest and Listography have been more than enough for a gal like me. Every time I get a chance to chat with Connie about the future, I'm always in the mood to picture the kind of place I would live in—on my own—and how it would look. I imagine we could knock out a whole afternoon painting what our 30s would look like. Sounds like a day well-spent to me!
I'll try my hardest not to spam my posts with photos (that's what Pinterest is for!). Whenever I look at these photos, I think 'yes, that could be it.' Brick walls and wooden floors feel like an inevitability for a place I would want to live in. The grittiness of the brick could be potentially damaging to my sensitive skin, but it surely makes the walls look more interesting despite being bare. And the idea of having a rug showcasing the galaxy is not a new one for me. There's no question about the design clashing with the surroundings—space rugs are always in style!
I'm also in the middle of making a CD for the upcoming Dallas road trip next week. My time there might quickly fly by and I will find myself back at home before I realize. There have got to be some sort of mind trick to make yourself be happy to be home.
Then again, I think some people call that 'distance.' Something I'm in serious need of. Praying that this year moves quickly, full of interviews, acceptances, and good times.
