Beginning to Settle In
Tuesday, May 29, 2012So I'm back home! It's been so long since I've stayed home for any significant length of time. I don't know how to put it in words but I don't feel like I belong in here anymore. My house is great, my room is great, but I don't feel settled in. This could be a little premature to call but I'm already feeling the walls of this house closing in. This is what happens when you get used to living in your own apartment. If I work harder than I've ever worked before, then I can soon find myself with my own place, a job, and a salary. Seems like a dream!
Tentative plans right now include continuing to look for jobs and studying for the GRE. On top of that, I've got several plans with friends coming up. Going out with Stephanie tomorrow, Jennifer's grad party this Saturday, and going out with Connie and Liz next week. Having a steady stream of plans is kind of nice. I thought I would feel more alienated coming back to Houston since I've been gone for so long but I suppose that's not the case. Looks like I'll be able to have both preparing for the future and friends back home to keep my mind from feeling restless.
Right now, I need to develop a set routine but I keep throwing that off. Instead of choosing a day and saying that's the day, I should just say starting now to get the ball rolling. Head's feeling scrambled. I guess next time I'll write a more coherent post.
