Ridiculously Long Post Part I
Sunday, February 19, 2012Where to begin? Ever since I began dating Ben, February has never been this busy and fun! I mentioned before that there were a lot of important dates to celebrate (two birthdays (plus Connie's! I mailed her birthday present out before I even began to celebrate with Ben), an anniversary, and Valentine's Day!) We decided to lump together our two year anniversary, Valentine's Day, and my birthday for the weekend. It was a busy affair but completely worth it! We met up in Bryan and with the help of restaurants.com we scored a deal at two restaurants (The Lemon Wedge and Murphy's Law) and movie tickets (watched Woman in Black and Chronicle).

The big exchange of gifts was a fun time too. For our two year anniversary, I gave Ben a Fossil wallet and a tiny photo album filled with different colored card stock detailing a memory of us for every letter of the alphabet. I'm not much of a drawer but I doodled to the best of my abilities. For his part, Ben put together and made two large Hershey's kisses (one for each year we've been dating) and filled it with many little Hershey's kisses with a sweet note attached at the bottom of each chocolate.

Valentine's Day and my birthday was more of a mishmash because for my part, I gave Ben a glass jar filled with pink crinkled paper, folded origami hearts, and a photo clip held up by a bear holding a heart with the word 'Love'. I have a complement photo clip here:

I included two disposable cameras (on sale at Walgreen's!) to document our fun times and to fill up the rest of the photo album. We didn't finish up the entire roll so I can't really post any pictures from there just yet. Ben gave me two dvds, Marie Antoinette and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, two films I'm not too embarrassed to say I wanted to own. I even watched Marie Antoinette as soon as I got back home to unwind. That movie is pure eye-candy! Ben also gave me a really cute, frilly pink apron and (so excited!) a full fondue set. We had wanted to eat at this fondue place in downtown Fort Worth but didn't get a chance to so Ben decided to bring the fondue to us. Maybe one day I can put something together and we can enjoy eating fondue together.
