Catching Up

Much thanks to Connie for picking me up at my house to hang out! It was finally time for some much needed girl time. We made plans to eat lunch with Liz and Eddie at Bernie's Burger Bus on Montrose. It was parked right next to Inversion Coffee House (which I hear is pretty popular). The menu was fun with entrees like "Homeroom" and "Principal". The side orders were called Extracurricular activities and any extras were referred to as electives. I must have been more hungry than I thought because I didn't snap a picture (the one below is from their website!) of the bus or the food! I did get a quick shot of the drink Connie graciously paid for at the coffee house.

I got to use my new phone and the Foodspotting app to upload it to the internet. It's really quite nice to have such a great phone! The obligatory photos were taken on my cell phones and cameras alike. For once, I didn't feel bad that I left my camera back at my apartment.

Although they couldn't stay long, Connie and I amused ourselves with visiting the various thrift shops down the street. We eventually wandered off to Agora coffee shop. From the outside, it didn't seem that spacious but upon entering, I immediately loved the feel of it. I was reminded of Common Grounds except...this went way beyond that coffee shop. I didn't order anything special (mango smoothie) but I didn't need to. It was good to sit down and have a good chat. It really was.

The hours melted away and before we knew it, it was time to meet up with the others for dinner. A strange combination of people showed up but it proved to be a interesting affair. Hao and George kept all of us plied with laughs. Seeing familiar faces was a nice accomplishment for the break since I am for the most part without a car. Steph contacted me earlier about hanging out. I think I'll have another opportunity to take more photos for after New Year's :)
