For Love of Sleep

I can never always trace the origins of how I came upon a beautifully styled living room or minimalist style working space, but I try my best to keep track so that I can go back to find new discoveries and, of course, share my findings with others. Lately, I find myself drawn to the monochromatic patterns, prints, and designs. It feels clean. It feels fresh. It invites you to throw in a colorful chair, or plant, or stack of books.

I spend enough of my time mentioning that I'm moving to Chicago—so much so that one of my coworkers who stopped by Chicago, picked up a tiny pin with "I heart Chicago" and gave it to me—but I'm still riding the joy train about the move. It's the only reason I need to justify the increase in time I've spent on Pinterest and Apartment Therapy. But my search is paused for now because I need to consider the space I'm working with and figure out the necessary furniture. I recently visited the area to check out three apartments (and to get to know my future classmates). I'm not keen on procuring roommates right now as I would really like to try single living. The apartments are decent despite the carpet flooring. I suppose the largest item I'll be hauling up north will be a bed.

Figuring out a budget for that and trying to scrape together money so I can join a couple friends on a trip to Europe (!) is getting difficult but I'll keep trying until I need to quit my job so I can get some much needed R&R. I will be posting more about traveling abroad, tips, and how to budget soon!
